Part of the functionality of the suggested operator has meanwhile (recently?) been implemented, using the notation "#". This allows to render the above examples as

Elaine,

Art VanDelay, etc.

Also, please note the use of the "nowiki"-tag for displaying the synthax of those terms, e.g.

[[Newman#Romantic interest|Elaine]],

[[George#Alter ego|Art VanDelay]].

The suggested operator compositions

or

or perhaps even more to the point:

may now accordingly be expressed for instance as
